Specifying Whether to Store In-House Part Numbers in the System File
Under Parts Library Search in the Options window, Correlated part number field controls whether the in-house part number that you enter for Part Number is stored in a data field in the System file.
1. Select Tools > Options. The Options window opens.
2. Under Parts Library Search, locate Correlated part number field and do one of the following.
To store the in-house part number in the System file, select the data field in which to store it. Choices are Alternate Part Number, User-Defined Text, CAGE Code, Logistics Control Number (LCN), and None. The default is Alternate Part Number.
To not store the in-house part number in the System file, select None. The in-house part number that you enter is not saved.
3. When finished, close the Options window by clicking the X in the upper right corner.
