Non-Repairable Systems
The following table describes ways in which allocation goals can be specified for non-repairable systems.
Goal
Description
Minimum target reliability
The input is the reliability over a specified mission time (operating time). Thus, the minimum specified MTBF or the maximum allowed failure rate can be calculated.
Minimum target MTBF
The minimum required MTBF can be calculated.
Maximum allowed failure rate
The maximum allowed failure rate can be calculated.
