Entering 299B Capacitors
The following table describes the part parameters required for capacitors when 299B is the selected calculation model. The 299B model supports all but the following subcategories of capacitors:
Air Trimmer, Variable (CT)
Ceramic, Variable (CV) subcategory (299B Parts Stress model only)
Other Variable (Class, Mica, and Plastic/FEP)
Vacuum, Variable or Fixed (CG)
While the 299B Parts Stress model does not support the Ceramic, Variable (CV) subcategory the 299B Parts Count model does support this part type. The only parameter required by the 299B Parts Count model is Quality Level.

The 299B model was updated in Relex 2006. For capacitors, voltage parameters are now used instead of power parameters. If a value was entered for Power Ratio in a version prior to Relex 2006 v2, this value is shown for Voltage Ratio. Any values that were formerly entered for Voltage Rated and Voltage Applied for calculating the voltage ratio are dropped.
