Dormant Conversion Table
As described in Mission Reliability Calculations, the dormant (passive) failure rate for a part is calculated. To accomplish this, the conversion factors used are those in “Topic A16: Dormant Analysis” of The Rome Laboratory Reliability Engineer’s Toolkit. To determine the dormant failure rate for a part, the active failure rate is multiplied by the conversion factor listed in the following table for the part type.
