In the Prediction Data pane for a 299C part, Foreign indicates whether the part is manufactured in China. When this checkbox is selected, the part is not manufactured in China. In this case, the failure rate for the foreign-made part is calculated according to Appendix A of either the 299C Parts Count or Parts Stress standard.

Because the parameters shown vary by part subcategory and type as well as by whether Foreign is selected, all parameters that can possibly appear in the Prediction Data pane are described in the 299C part parameter topics.

Quality levels for 299C parts are noted in the 299C part parameter topics. Temperatures are used by the 299C model in the same manner as the MIL-HBDK-217 model. For more information, see MIL-HDBK-217 Temperature Calculations.
