299 Environments

The following table lists the many environments available for Environment, 299, which is shown in an assembly’s Calculation Data pane when a 299B or 299C model is selected. For more information, see Calculation Data for 299 Models. Additionally, these models support custom environments.

• AIC, AC - Airborne, Inhabit Cargo, Commercial

• AIF - Airborne, Inhabit Fighter

• ARW - Airborne, Rotary, Winged

Only the 299C model supports the following environments: ARS - Airborne, Rotary, Winged and MF - Missile Flight. If you select one of these environments for a 299B model, the Pi E value is 0. In most cases, a Pi E value of 0 results in a failure rate of 0.

• GF, CU - Ground, Fixed, Uncontrolled

• NS - Naval Sheltered

• NS2 - Naval Sheltered, Common

• NSB - Naval Submarine

• NU - Naval Unsheltered

• MF - Missile Flight*
