The unique identifier assigned to the transition. While an identifier is assigned to a transition when you insert it, you can change it to any unique value. The format for the assigned identifier is specified by Markov Transition Identifier, which appears under Identifiers in the System file properties. A description of the transition rate entered for Rate.

The transition (failure or repair) rate for going from one state to the next.

The gain or loss per unit time associated with moving from one state to the next. Each change in state can have a cost associated with it. You select Gain (default) or Loss to indicate whether the cost per unit time is a gain or loss.
