The purpose of LCC analysis is to compute the cost of a system or portion of a system over its entire life span. After you define the hierarchical tree structure to analyze, you assign an equation that represents the cost calculation to each item in this hierarchical tree structure. Once this information is supplied, you can conclude your analysis by calculating results and perhaps generating reports and graphs.
