Item Cost
The cost of each line item in your cost breakdown structure (CBS) is computed. Depending upon the granularity of your CBS, you can see the costs associated with the various parts of your product life cycle, such as design costs, R&D expenses, maintenance costs, and labor fees. The cost of each line item in the CBS is based on the cost equation that was entered for it. The total system cost reflects the cost of your system over its entire life cycle. It is computed by summing all of the line item costs in your CBS. If system design alternatives exist in the Project’s LCC Variables file, costs are based on the first alternative in the Alternatives pane.
