The Alternatives pane lists different system designs to compare when running LCC calculations so that you can determine which is most cost-effective.

For example, suppose that a system design change is necessary. One alternative is to redesign the entire system. Another alternative is to modify the current design.

If alternatives are defined in the Alternatives pane, the costs associated with the new design can be compared to the costs associated with the modified design. The following table provides column descriptions.
