Updating an Event with Library Event Properties from the Properties Window
You can update the properties for a System file event with the properties for a library event. For an update to occur, the value you enter for Library identifier on the Library Event page in the event’s Properties window must match the identifier for a library event in an enabled FTA Event Library file.
1. In the System file, double-click the event in the FTA Diagram pane to open the Properties window.
2. On the Library Event page, do the following:
a. For Library identifier, enter the identifier for the event stored in the FTA Event Library file.
For example, if the identifier for an event stored in the FTA Library file is CAP-1, enter CAP-1.
b. To the right of this field, click Update. Enabled FTA Event Library files are searched for a matching identifier.
If a match is found, the properties for this library event are copied to the active event. Library of retrieval, which is display-only, indicates the name of the FTA Event Library file in which this library event is stored. Additionally, a window opens, indicating that event data has been updated.
c. Click OK to close the window.
3. To select and update another event, use the navigation control at the top of the Properties window and repeat step 2.
4. When finished, click OK.
