Inserting Gates and Events Using Insert Commands
You can insert gates and events using Insert commands. From the shortcut menu, you can open the Insert Input window to quickly insert either a gate or event as an input to the active gate. Additionally, you can open either the Insert Gate window or Insert Event window to insert an input to any existing gate.
Insert Input Window
You use the Insert Input window to quickly insert either a gate or event as an input to the active gate.
1. After selecting the gate, do one of the following to open the Insert Input window:
Right-click the gate and select Insert Input.
Select Insert > Input.
2. For Input Type, select the type of gate or event to insert. For more information, see Events and Gates.
3. Click OK.
Insert Event or Insert Gate Window
You use the Insert Event window to insert an event or the Insert Gate window to insert a gate as an input to any existing gate.
1. Select Insert > Event or Insert > Gate. Depending on what you select, either the Insert Event or Insert Gate window opens.
2. For Gate Type or Event Type, select the type of gate or event to insert. For more information, see Events and Gates.
3. Click OK. The selected gate or event is attached to the mouse cursor.
4. Place the mouse cursor over the gate beneath which to insert the gate or event. If insertion at this location is permitted, the connector symbol appears.

If insertion at this location is not permitted, the symbol indicates that no connection is possible.

5. Left-click to insert the gate or event. A connector is inserted along with the gate or event.
