Because fault trees can be quite large, it is sometime desirable to focus on a particular area. You can use the Display as Top Gate command to temporarily display a gate as a top gate.

Performing one of the following steps switches between displaying and not displaying a gate as a top gate.

When no checkmark appears to the left of the Display as Top Gate command (default), the selected gate is not shown as a top gate. When a checkmark appears to the left of this command, the selected gate is shown as the top gate.

If you follow a transfer-in gate in this temporary view to another page as described in Following a Transfer-In Gate, when you return from it, the selected gate is no longer shown as a top gate.
