Copying and Pasting Branches Between Fault Trees in Different System Files
You can copy a branch in a fault tree and then paste it into another tree in a different System file. However, the two System files must be in the same Project.

If the System files are in different Projects, you must first copy one System file into the same Project as the other System file. For more information, see Copying and Pasting Branches Between System Files in Different Projects.

1. Open both System files.
2. In the System file with the branch to copy, do the following:
a. In the FTA Table, select the record for the gate.
b. In the diagram, right-click the gate and select Select Branch.
c. Right-click the gate again and select Copy.
3. In the System file where you want to paste the branch, do the following:
a. In the FTA Table, select the record for the gate under which to paste the branch.
b. In the diagram, right-click the gate and select Paste.
