What is the FRACAS Process?
A FRACAS allows tracking of incidents and issues of any type to better quantify problem areas, issues of concern, or areas in need of improvement. A FRACAS is commonly a closed-loop system where an incident of some type (usually a failure) is recorded and analyzed, thereby prompting a corrective action to be taken so that the incident can be closed out and cataloged. The information gathered from the FRACAS can then be applied to future system designs to help ensure better reliability as development moves forward.
