Setting Up FRACAS Group Files
A FRACAS Group file specifies all System files across Projects in the same database to treat as a single entity for FRACAS reporting and graphing. If you multiple System files exist in one or more Projects, administrators can set up a FRACAS Group file.
1. If the FRACAS Group file is not already open, then create or open it. You create or open this file in the same way as any other file.
2. In the last blank row, click in the System column. A browse button appears to the right of the field. A < Select file.. .> label also appears in the field.
3. Click the browse button. A window opens for selecting a System file to include in the FRACAS Group file.
All System files in the Windchill Risk and Reliability database are listed. If a System file does not reside in the open Project, the Project name and a backslash (\) precedes the file name.
4. Select the System file to insert.
If you select < No selection >, which appears at the top of the list, the window for inserting a System file closes. Clicking the red X also closes the window.
After you make a System file selection, the name of the file is shown. When you leave this field, a blank record is inserted so that you can include another file. You can include a System file in the FRACAS Group file only one time.
If you try to select a System file that is already included, when you leave this field, a window opens, indicating that the value is already in use. You click OK to close the window. You must then clear the field or click the browse button to select either a different System file or < No selection >.
5. When finished selecting the System files that you want to include, close the FRACAS Group file.
You can now use this file to generate a FRACAS report or graph based on the multiple System files included in it. For more information, see Using FRACAS Group Files.
