Maintenance Logs Table Data Fields
The Table Format file for the FRACAS Maintenance Logs table determines the data fields that appear in it. The following table describes its default fields. For more information, see Table Format Files.
Option
Description
Maintenance Log Identifier
The unique identifier assigned to the maintenance log. In the System file properties, Identifiers > FRACAS Maintenance Log Identifier specifies the format for the assigned identifier. For more information, see Identifiers System File Properties. If desired, you can change the identifier to any unique value.
Incident
The unique identifier assigned to the incident with which you want to associate this maintenance log. This display-only field shows the identifier of the incident that is active in the FRACAS Incidents table. For more information, see Maintenance Log Relationships.
Maintenance Level
The various levels of maintenance, which are used to calculate MTTR (mean time to repair). For more information, see MTTR (Mean Time To Repair). The three predefined maintenance levels in the read-only Master List Library file are:
Organizational. The item is repairable at the box or system level.
Intermediate. The item is repairable at the board or assembly level.
Depot. The item is repairable at the component or part level.
In the Data Definition file for a new Project, the default value is Intermediate. You can customize the Maintenance Level list by inserting a new list with this same name in a List Library file. For more information, see List Library Files.
Replaced?
Indicates whether the system tree item is replaced rather than repaired during maintenance. When this checkbox is selected, the item is replaced. When this checkbox is cleared, the item is repaired.
Number of Men
The number of people needed to complete the repair. This value can be fractional. It is used in the calculation of the total maintenance time, which is then used in the calculation of MTTR.
Elapsed Maintenance Time
The number of hours or minutes needed to complete the repair. This value is used in the calculation of the total maintenance time, which is then used in the calculation of MTTR.
Total Maintenance Time
The total maintenance time. This result field is display-only. The total maintenance time is used in the calculation of MTTR.
Cost, Item
The cost of the system tree item to which the incident is tied. When Replaced? is selected, this cost is included in the total maintenance cost that is calculated.
Cost, Maintenance
The cost of performing the maintenance.
To have different fields appear in the FRACAS Maintenance Logs table, you can modify the default Table Format file for it (Table Format (FRACAS Maintenance Logs)). This is very easily done using the Format Builder. For more information, see Using the Format Builder to Modify an Enabled Table.
