Refreshing Fault Equivalence Data for the Active FMEA Worksheet Record
If the Project’s FMEA Fault Equivalence file is modified, you can refresh the FMEA data that has been pulled in from this singular support file for the active FMEA Worksheet record. The X variable in the Current [X] submenu name reflects the lowest data level of the fields used in your fault equivalence key. For more information, see FMEA Fault Equivalence Files.
For example, if your key consists of Item Description and Failure Mode, you select FMEA > Refresh Fault Equivalence Data > Current Modeto refresh data at the item and mode levels for the current record. If your key includes Current Cause, you select FMEA > Refresh Fault Equivalence Data > Current Causeto refresh the data at the item, mode, and cause levels for the current record. If the current record did not have any data at this level, the Current [X] command is unavailable. For more information, see Refresh of Fault Equivalence Data.
To refresh the data that is pulled in for the active FMEA Worksheet record, do the following:
1. In the FMEA Table, select the FMEA.
2. In the FMEA Tree Items table, select the appropriate part.
3. In the FMEA Worksheet table, select the record with the fault equivalence data to refresh.
Providing that this record has data at the lowest FMEA data level included in the key, the Refresh Fault Equivalence Data command provides a submenu command for refreshing it.
4. Select FMEA > Refresh Fault Equivalence Data > Current [X].
