Inserting Control Plans from FMEA Records or Global Attributes
From FMEA Tree Items, FMEA Worksheet, or Global Attributes records, you can insert control plans that are automatically associated with the records from which you created them.
1. From the record that you want to associate with a new control plan, click the special field for associations.
In the FMEA Tree Items or FMEA Worksheet table, click Controls.
In the Global Attributes table, click FMEA Control Plans.
The browse button becomes available.
2. Click the browse button. The Associated FMEA Control Plans window opens, displaying a table with all existing control plans. Associated is selected for control plans that are already associated with the record.
3. In the last table row, click < Click here to insert a new record >.
A new record is inserted in both this table and the FMEA Control Plans table. In this table, Associated is automatically selected.
4. Enter data for the control plan.
5. If you want to insert additional control plans, repeat steps 3 and 4.
6. When finished, click Close. You return to the record from which you opened the Associated FMEA Control Plans window.
The special field for associations is updated to display the number of control plans that are now associated with the record. Periodically, in the FMEA Control Plans table, you should complete any blank fields for control plans inserted from the Associated FMEA Control Plans window.
