Failure Mode Probability
Failure mode probability can be specified or calculated.
• If Specified is selected for Failure Mode Probability, the failure mode probability is equal to the value entered for Failure Mode Probability, Specified.
• If Calculated is selected for Failure Mode Probability, or if Failure Mode Probability, Specified is blank, the failure mode probability is calculated using the following equation:
Where λ is the mode failure rate and t is the mission phase time, which accounts for the phase percentage of the current mode.
