Deleting a FMEA Data Level
You can delete a single occurrence of a data level or all occurrences of a particular data level from the FMEA Worksheet table. All child data levels are deleted along with the parent.
Deleting a Single Occurrence
If you want to delete a single occurrence of a data level, do the following:
1. In the FMEA Worksheet table, do one of the following to select the single data level that you want to delete:
◦ Select a cell in the row containing the data level to delete and then select > and the command for the data level.
◦ Right-click a cell in the row containing the data level to delete and select Delete Record and the command for the data level.
A confirmation window opens because the deletion of the data level cannot be undone.
2. Click Yes.
Deleting All Occurrences
If you want to delete all occurrences of a particular data level, do the following:
1. In the FMEA Worksheet table, do one of the following to select the data level to delete:
◦ Select any cell and then select > and the Delete All command for the data level to delete.
◦ Right-click any cell and select Delete All and the Delete All command for the data level to delete.
For example, to delete all modes from the worksheet, you would select > .
A confirmation window opens because the deletion of the data level cannot be undone. Deleting a parent record deletes it and all of its children.
2. Click Yes.
