Windchill Attribute Mapping (Project)
The Windchill Attribute Mapping pane is visible in the Project Properties window for an Enterprise Project if at least one System file is created from a Windchill product. To accomplish this, you must have two Windchill integration licenses, one for BOM-based quality analysis and validation and another for CTQ (critical to quality) characteristic management. When these conditions exist, this pane is shown.
The Windchill Attribute Mapping pane displays mappings of attributes for Windchill parts to System Tree Items fields. For more information, see Creating a Project or Additional System File from a Windchill Product.
*
The Windchill Attribute Mapping pane is not shown in the Team Edition because this Edition does not support integration with Windchill.
The Windchill Attribute Mapping pane displays a table with two columns.
System Tree Field, which is read-only, lists all fields in the System Tree Items table in which you can store attribute data for Windchill parts.
Windchill PDMLink/MPMLink Attribute lists all attributes for Windchill parts that you can map to System Tree Items fields. Three part attributes are mapped by default: Name (name), Number, and Quantity. If occurrence data was included during System file creation, Reference Designator is also mapped. Additional part attributes might also have been mapped.
System Tree Items fields that are mapped to Windchill attributes are read-only in the following places:
System Tree Items table and its forms
FMEA Tree Items table and its forms
Parts Table and its forms
Assembly Library forms
When you select a System file created from a Windchill product in the left pane of the Project Properties window, its properties are shown in the File Properties pane. The Version Information > Windchill PDMLink/MPMLink Settings property is display-only. It indicates the Windchill part selected for the top-level item in the system tree and the saved expansion criteria selected for importing its BOM (bill of materials). For more information, see Version Information System File Properties.
