Reports for Association Table Types
Association table types are available for reporting. Because they are module-specific, the types available for selection depend on the module for the report. For example, the RBD Diagram to Problem Association table type is available for selection only when the module for the report is RBD.
You can include any of the following fields on a report for an association table type:
System Name
Local ID (for the system tree item, RBD diagram, RBD block, FTA gate, or FTA event)
Problem
Associated By
Associated Date
Details
Reports for association table types can be included in Report Binder files. You can insert an association table as a child of a Problems report or as a child of the associated table type in the Report Binder file. For example, the following can be created:
Problems > RBD Diagram to Problem Associations
RBD Diagrams > RBD Diagram to Problem Associations
Association tables can be parents of either a Problems report or the associated table type report in a Report Binder file. For example, the following can be created:
Problems > RBD Diagram to Problem Associations > RBD Diagrams
RBD Diagrams > RBD Diagram to Problem Associations > Problems
This can lead to circular references. For example, the following can be created:
Problems > RBD Diagram to Problem Associations > RBD Diagrams>RBD Diagram to Problem Associations > RBD Diagrams > RBD Diagram to Problem Associations > Problems
An associated table can be inserted as a child of a Problems report in a Report Binder file, and vice versa. For example, the following can be created:
Problems > RBD Diagrams
RBD Diagrams > Problems
This can lead to circular references in Report Binder files. Thus, you need to construct reports and Report Binder files carefully.
The following topics describe the expected behavior for tables in a single report. They are noted for each module that supports association tables.
