Primary Y Axis Properties
When Primary Y Axis is the page selected in the Graph Properties window, you can set properties for the primary Y axis. Clicking the browse button for either of the Font properties opens a window for specifying the font family and point size. For more information, see Font Selection Window.
Property
Description
Title
Title
The label to display for the Y axis. If no title is specified, the name of the field with data points being plotted on this axis is shown as the title in the graph.
Font
The font family and point size for the title.
Labels
Font
The font family and point size for data point labels that are shown on the Y axis.
Angle
The number of degrees by which to rotate data point labels. If data point labels are not visible, try rotating them 90 degrees so that they have room to display.
Scale
*
If Use default is selected to the right of Minimum or Maximum, the property is unavailable. By default, the checkbox for both of these properties are selected and they are set to 0.
Minimum
The starting value for the Y axis.
Maximum
The ending value for the Y axis.
Logarithmic
Indicates whether to use a logarithmic scale when numeric values are being plotted for both the X axis and Y axis.
When cleared (default), data points are uniformly spaced, which is what always occurs when values for either axis are text entries.
When selected, data points are plotted relative to their numeric values rather than uniformly spaced. A logarithmic scale cannot be used for negative values or for 0.
Base
Specifies the base to use for the logarithmic graph. This property is available only if Logarithmic is selected. The value that you enter is used to adjust the scale of the graph.
