Opening a File from the Project Navigator
In the Project or system selection state of the Project Navigator, you can open any
System file listed in the
Projects pane by clicking its entry. As described in
Project/System Selection State, the behavior that the Project Navigator exhibits when you click the Project name depends on the > checkbox in the
Options window and on the number of System files in the Project.
In the file selection and file open states of the Project Navigator, you can open any file listed in the Projects pane. The Project Navigator limits the file types shown in this window to those for the modules in use. Windchill Risk and Reliability supports having multiple files in a Project open simultaneously.
• To open any file but a Graph Template, Import/Export Template, Report Binder, or Report Design file, click the entry for the file.
• To open any of the four file types excluded above, right-click the entry for the file and select Edit File.
• If you click a Graph Template, Report Binder, or Report Design file instead, the report or graph is generated.
• If you click an Import/Export Template file, the import or export is performed.
If two or more applicable files exist in the Project, the
Select File window opens so that you can select the file for the graph, import, export, or report. For more information, see
