List Fields
Text fields that have lists assigned can be searched. However, to replace a list item with a specified text string that is not already a list item, you must be able to add a new item to the list in the List Library file. For more information, see List Library Files.
Adding an item to a list is not possible if the Non-Overrideable checkbox is selected for the list in the List Library file. In this case, new items cannot be added to the list during data entry. You can only insert a new item for this list in the List Library file.
Adding an item to a list is not possible in the Enterprise Edition if you do not have the necessary permissions. The user group to which you are assigned must have the checkbox for the Add items to list permission selected. All permissions are set by your system administrator.
In the Find and Replace window, if All Fields is selected for Look in, all fields but those attached to lists are searched. This is to avoid the complications that can arise due to the above circumstances.
