List Choices Pane
The List Choices pane provides for viewing and modifying the items for the list selected in the List Definition pane. The following table describes the table columns in this pane.

Display Text
The text to appear in the choice list.
Code
The unique code assigned to the list item. For more information, see Codes.
Value
The value to use for this item in calculations. If you assign a numeric value to the item, this value can be used in calculations. For example, if Catastrophic, Critical, Marginal, and Minor are the items in the list, you might assign the following values to these list item:
Catastrophic = 10
Critical = 7
Marginal = 4
Minor = 1
Hidden
Indicates whether to show the item in the list. When this checkbox is cleared, the item is shown. When this checkbox is selected, the item continues to appear in places where it was previously selected; however, it no longer in the selection list for new entries. However, if a user with prior knowledge types this item directly it the field, it is accepted as a valid entry.
Symbol
Provides for assigning a small image file, which is referred to as a symbol, to the list item. When you click in this field, the symbol control opens, providing you with 20 predefined symbols as well as commands for creating custom symbols. Any notes or comments about the item.
If no list is selected in the List Definition pane, the following message is shown in the first table row in the List Choices pane:
Insert or select a List Definition to enable the List Choices Table.
When a list is selected in the List Definition pane, clicking < Click here to insert a new record> in the last table row in the List Choices pane inserts a new item in this list. For more information, see Inserting a List in a List Library File.
