Insertion Behavior
When you use the Form Design Wizard to insert controls in the Form Design file, it uses the rules below. When you manually insert controls in an open Form Design file in the Form Designer, these same rules must be followed.
• Edit box controls are inserted for numeric fields and for text fields that do not have lists attached.
Lists are attached to text fields in the Project’s
Data Definition file. For more information, see
Data Definition Files.
• Edit boxes are inserted for special fields for selecting items, including System Tree, System Tree Item, Configuration, and Incident. Edit boxes are also inserted for Workflow and Attachments fields.
• Combo box controls are inserted for text fields that have lists attached.
• Checkbox controls are inserted for all special yes/no fields.
