Inserting a Table Control
When customizing a Start page or a dashboard, you can insert a Table control. You use this control to show one of the following tables as display-only on the page: FRACAS Incidents, Problems, and System Tree Items. To accomplish this, you insert the control, select the table, and specify the text for the control title and link.
1. If necessary, click Customize to view the customization area.
2. Click the Table button.
The control is inserted on the page. You can now set up the table you want it to display.
3. In this control, click Set up the Table control. The Control Settings Wizard starts and displays the Select Project page.
4. Select the Project with the table that you want to insert and click Next. The page that appears next depends on whether the Project contains multiple System files.
If the Project contains multiple System files, the Select File page appears. Go to step 5.
If the Project contains one System file, the Select Table Type page appears. Go to step 6.
5. On the Select File page, select the System file with the table that you want to insert and click Next. The Select Table Type page appears.
6. On the Select Table Type page, select the type of FRACAS table that you want to insert and click Next. The Select a Filter Page appears.
7. If desired, select a filter to apply and click Next. The Set Refresh Rate page appears.
8. Enter the time interval in minutes for refreshing the table and click Next. The Select Text page appears.
9. For Control Title, enter the text to display on the control; then, click Next. The Wizard Complete page appears.
10. Click Finish.
The control is updated with the specified table and title.
The Table Format file for this table in the System file is used. This table supports the filter bar. However, if you run the Control Settings Wizard again, the last selected filter in the filter bar is overwritten with the filter that you select in the wizard. Any Filter by filters for this table in the System file are ignored.
You can select a record in this table and then click Go to Selected Record in the lower left corner of the control to go to this record in the System file.
