Inserting a Part in the System Tree
A part is the lowest-level component in the system, indicating that no further breakdown is possible. You insert a part in the System Tree Items table by doing one of the following:
• Select the assembly under which to insert a part and then select > .
• Right-click the assembly under which to insert a part and select Insert Part.
A blank row is inserted for the new part beneath the selected assembly. If a part rather than an assembly is selected when you insert the part, the new part is inserted above the selected part. After the part is inserted, you complete data fields in this row as well as fields in the Parts Table and other Prediction Parts panes.
