Inserting an Assembly in the System Tree
An assembly is a component or item in the hardware design, software application, or process that is being analyzed. You can insert an assembly in the System Tree Items table as either a sibling to or a child of another assembly:
Select the item under which to insert an assembly and then select either Insert > Sibling Assembly or Insert > Child Assembly.
Right-click the component under which to insert an assembly and then select Insert Sibling Assembly or Insert Child Assembly.
A blank row for the new assembly is inserted at either the same level as the selected assembly or the level beneath this assembly, depending on your selection. Once the assembly is inserted, you complete the data fields in this row as well as the fields in the Assembly panes.
If you are using Assembly Library files, you can insert assemblies from them into the System Tree Items table. For more information, see Assembly Library Files.
