• When this checkbox is selected, you can number FMEA worksheet records from the desktop application.

Reset Item Number for each FMEA Tree record
|
Indicates how to assign numbers when the Number FMEA Worksheet command is selected during MSG-3 analysis.
• When this checkbox is cleared (default), all records in the FMEA Worksheet table are numbered for every record in the FMEA Tree Items table. This process begins numbering with 1. As it walks through the FMEA tree, it increases the number for each FMEA Worksheet record to ensure that no duplicate numbers exist within the FMEA.
• When this checkbox is selected, numbering begins with 1 for each record in the FMEA Tree Items table. While this ensures that no duplicate records exist within each FMEA tree item, duplicate numbers do exist within the entire FMEA Worksheet table. However, assume that you are inserting multiple MSIs into an FMEA tree that represents the ATA structure. It is possible that you want the item numbering to begin at 1 for each ATA. When numbers are to reset to 1 for each record in the FMEA tree, the Number FMEA Worksheet command provides cascading menus. You can either number all FMEA Worksheet records or only those for the active record in the FMEA tree.
