Creating a Windchill Problem Report
From a problem, you can create a problem report in the Windchill BOM. A problem report documents a product problem or requests a product enhancement. You can create a problem report on behalf of someone who is not a Windchill Risk and Reliability user, such a customer or supplier.
To create a problem report:
1. In the Problems table, select the problem for which you want to create a problem report.
2. Right-click the problem and select Create Problem Report. If account log-in information is requested, supply it. The New Problem Report window opens.
3. Complete this window. For more information, click the help button in the upper right corner of the window. See “Creating a Problem Report” topic in the Windchill Help Center.
If the problem’s associated incidents were tied to parts imported from a Windchill BOM, the original Windchill parts are associated with the new change object as affected items. If any of the affected Windchill parts are end items, they are associated with the new change object as affected end items and listed in the Affected End Items table. End items are top-level items in system trees.
