Checking for and Deleting Duplicate Data Fields
When a Form Design file is open in the Form Designer, you can check to see if duplicate data fields exist on the form. Duplicate data fields are fields that are connected to the same data field. Controls that are inserted but not yet associated with data fields are also considered duplicate fields.
1. If the Form Design file is not already open, then open it.
2. To check for duplicate data fields, do one of the following:
Select Layout > Check Duplicate Fields.
Right click and select Check Duplicate Fields.
A window opens, indicating whether duplicate data fields have been found.
If none are found, click OK to close this window.
If some are found, click Yes to have the duplicate fields selected in the Form Design file.
3. To delete a duplicate field, right-click the control and select Delete. If a label has also been inserted for this control, it too should be deleted. If not, right-click the label control and select Delete.
4. When finished, close the file.

Instead of deleting a duplicate field, you can associate it with a different data field. In the field’s Properties window, specify the field to use on the Data Exchange page. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying Form Control Properties.
