Audit Trail Reports
Permissions for Audit Trail files are set by an administrator in the Administrator application. To view the information recorded in Audit Trail files, you can use supplied Audit Trail reports or use the Report Designer to create custom Audit Trail reports. Audit Trail reports are like other Windchill Risk and Reliability reports. They can include any of the data fields in the Audit Trail files as well as special and calculated fields. Additionally, the data in an Audit Trail report can be sorted, grouped, and filtered. To accomplish this, an administrator can add Audit Trail filters to the Filter file for the Project so that these filters can then be used with your Audit Trail reports.
All Audit Trail files in the Audit Trail folder are used when generating Audit Trail reports. If you archive and remove an Audit Trail file from this folder, data from it is no longer included in the report. If you later copy the archived Audit Trail file back into the Audit Trail folder, data from it is once again included in the report. If you copy a file that is not an Audit Trail file into the Audit Trail folder, that file is skipped when generating the report.
Any Audit Trail reports in your Enterprise database are listed under Audit Trail Reports in the Select Report to Print and Select Report to Preview windows. You can print or preview Audit Trail reports like any other report. For more information, see Reporting.
