Applying a Filter in the Graph Wizard
For several graph types, you can apply a filter to limit the records used to generate the graph. For these graph types, you apply the filter in the Graph Wizard as you either create a new graph or step through the settings saved in a loaded Graph Template file.
The Filter Data page most commonly shown by the Graph Wizard has only one field: Filter. When this Filter Data page appears during the generation of a new graph, -- No Filter -- is selected by default to indicate that no filter is applied. You can select any applicable filter in your enabled Filter files before clicking Next.
When graphing system tree items for FMEA, FRACAS, and Prediction graphs, Current branch is also available. When this checkbox is selected, the graph data is filtered by the item selected in the tree and all of its child records.
For some modules, such as the Prediction module, additional options are available on the Filter Data page for graphing all system tree items, only assemblies, or only parts. You can select any of these options or use the field for selecting a filter from any of your enabled Filter files.
After you complete the Filter Data page and click Next, in most cases, the Graph Options page appears. On this page, you specify what the graph is to look like. For more information about completing this page and subsequent pages, see Specifying Graph Options.

Personal filters are available for selection only from the desktop application. If a graph uses a personal filter from a different user, the desktop application ignores this filter if the same filter is not found in your personal Filter file.
