Animation Properties
When Animation is the page selected in the Graph Properties window, you can set properties that specify any special effects to apply when the graph is generated. A sample of what the graph looks like is shown on the right side of the page. Making a change to Chart type or clicking Animate applies the assigned effects the sample. The following table describes the properties that appear on the Animation page.

Chart type
The kind of graph to use for plotting the data. You can always change the type to any supported area, bar, line, marker, or pie/donut chart.
Animation type
The special effect to apply when the graph is generated. The choices available depend on the chart type.
Duration
The amount of time in seconds to take to apply the effect. You use the special slider control to indicate the time. The label to its right specifies the number of seconds. The range is from 0.5 to 4.0.
Data point overlap
The percentage of time that the data points are overlapped within the duration of the animation. You use the special slider control to indicate the percentage. The label to its right specifies the percentage value. The range is 0 to 100. If the value is 100, the data points appear all at once. If the value is 0, the data points appear one at a time.
When clicked, the sample graph is redrawn so that you can watch a demonstration of the animation.
