Sample Projects and Templates

On the Windchill Risk and Reliability application server, the Samples folder contains sample Projects as well as their respective System and support files. In this folder, the Projects with Template in their names include all files, tables, forms, and fields needed to perform a specific type of analysis. However, they do not contain sample data.

Using the New Project Wizard, you can select any existing Project as the basis for your new Project. For more information, see Creating a Project Using the New Project Wizard. Or, from the Project Properties window, you can copy files from an existing Project into one of your Projects. For more information, see Copying Files from Another Project into the Project Open in the Project Properties Window. The following table describes the supplied Projects in the Samples folder.

Project	Description
FMEA 1629, Task 101 Template	Sets up the FMEA module for performing a MIL-STD-1629 Task 101 FMEA, which classifies each potential failure according to its severity.
FMEA 1629, Task 101, 102 Template	Sets up the FMEA module for performing MIL-STD-1629 Task 101 and 102 FMEAs. Task 101 FMEAs classify each potential failure according to its severity. Task 102 FMEAs classify each potential failure according to its severity and probability of occurrence.
FMEA 1629, Task 102 Template	Sets up the FMEA module for performing a MIL-STD-1629 Task 102 FMEA, which classifies each potential failure according to the combined influence of its severity and probability of occurrence.
FMEA AIAG-4 Template	Sets up the FMEA module for performing an AIAG-4 FMEA, which is a standard published by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) for design and process FMEAs.
FMEA AIAG & VDA DFMEA Template	Sets up the FMEA module for performing a design FMEA, which is a standard published by the AIAG-VDA for design and process FMEAs.
FMEA AIAG & VDA MSR Template	Sets up the FMEA module for performing a Monitoring and System Response, which is a standard published by the AIAG-VDA for design and process FMEAs.
FMEA AIAG & VDA PFMEA Template	Sets up the FMEA module for performing a process FMEA, which is a standard published by the AIAG-VDA for design and process FMEAs.
FMEA P-Diagram Template	Sets up the FMEA module for creating P-diagrams, which are used to eliminate or mitigate noise factors so that ideal system performance is delivered to customers.
FMEA Standard Template	Sets up the FMEA module for performing a basic FMEA.
FTA Civil Aerospace Template	Sets up for the FTA module for constructing SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761 fault trees, which are used to assess the safety of civil airborne systems and equipment.
MSG-3 Template	Sets up the FMEA and MSG-3 modules for using MSG-3, a document that outlines a decision-logic process for determining initial scheduled maintenance requirements for new types of aircraft systems and powerplants.
Tablet PC Sample	A Project that contains sample data for many different modules. The emphasize is to provide examples that demonstrate module usage. The same tablet personal computer and its processes are analyzed from module to module.
