RBD Changes
The following table notes changes to the RBD (formerly OpSim) module for Windchill Quality Solutions 10.0.
Change
Description
Enable duty cycle for blocks
Duty Cycle Percentage is now always available on the Failure page in a block’s Calculation Properties window. For more information, see Failure Page. This means that Enable duty cycle for blocks, which used to indicate whether to show Duty Cycle Percentage on the Failure page, no longer appears under RBD in the System file properties. If this checkbox was selected in System files in the prior release, the value that you entered for Duty Cycle Percentage was stored in User Value 5. The conversion process copies the value from User Value 5 to Duty Cycle Percentage and then clears User Value 5. If User Value 5 contains a negative value or has no specified value, the default value of 100 is used for Duty Cycle Percentage.
Switch delays treated as failures
Treat switch delays as failures is now an option on the Advanced page in the RBD calculation properties. For more information, see Advanced Page. This means that Switch delays treated as failure, which used to indicate whether to treat every switch delay as a failure for the purpose of reliability calculations, no longer appears under RBD in the System file properties. If this checkbox was selected in System files in the prior release, the conversion process selects Treat switch delays as failures on the Advanced page in the RBD calculation properties.
