Converting Prior Files in Windchill Risk and Reliability
You can convert multiple Projects and files from Relex 7.7 or later to Team files in Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.0.0.
1. If Windchill Risk and Reliability is not yet started, then start it.
2. After ensuring that no files are open, select Tools > Convert from Older Version. The Convert from Older Version Wizard starts and displays the Select Source Version page.
3. Indicate whether the prior files to convert are Relex 7.7 or if they are Relex Studio 2006 through Relex 2011 files and click Next. The Select Source Directory page appears.
4. For Source Directory, if no default path appears for the folder with the prior files to convert or a different path is desired, use the browse button to navigate to the appropriate folder.
5. Click Next. The Select Destination Directory page appears. The default is your My Windchill Risk and Reliability Files folder for the current installation.
6. Once the appropriate directory is specified, click Next. The page that appears next depends on the type of files to convert.
If they are Relex 7.7 files, the Wizard Complete page appears. Go to step 8.
If they are Relex Studio or Relex 11.1 files, the Select Backups to Convert page appears. Go to step 7.
As noted in the left window of this page, converting backup files increases conversion time. The default option indicates that backup files are not converted.
7. If the Select Backups to Convert page appears, indicate which backup files to convert and click Next. The Wizard Complete page appears.
8. On the Wizard Complete page, click Finish. The Converting Files window opens and shows status information as files are converted.
When the conversion finishes, the Conversion Complete window opens. From this window, you can view, save, or print processing information. For more information, see Conversion Status Information.
9. When you finish viewing processing information, in the Conversion Complete window, click OK.
