Alert files are available only in the Enterprise Edition. In versions prior to Relex Studio 2008, Alert files were enabled in the Alert Setup program. When converting files prior to Studio 2008, Enable Alerts is automatically selected under General in the Project properties. The Alert Service checks all Projects once a minute to see if their Alert files are enabled. For the Alert files that are enabled, the Alert Service determines if the criteria for any alerts is met and triggers the sending of an alert email message if this is the case.
