1. In the LCC - Cost Breakdown Structure pane, select Maintenance Cost .

2. In the LCC - Equation Editor pane, review the cost equation for this item. In this case, the cost is linked to data fields storing repair and failure results calculated by other modules.

3. Select Insert > Sibling to insert a new cost item.

4. Enter Disposal Cost as the name of the new item.

5. In the LCC - Equation Editor pane, for Cost equation, enter 500 to indicate that its costs $500 to dispose of a system.
