Start Page Additional Features
The Start page offers several additional features.
Expand/Collapse
In the title bar of a control, an arrow button is available for either collapsing or expanding the control. In the Tryout version and Team Edition, the arrow button is on the right. In the Enterprise Edition, the arrow button is on the left. To switch between collapsing and expanding a control, you click the arrow button.
Menu Bar
The menu bar appears in the upper right corner of the Start Page window. The following figure displays the menu bar for the Enterprise Edition because it provides additional options.
Clicking the about icon opens the About Windchill Risk and Reliability window, where you can see copyright information, authorized options (if licensed), file versions, and data directories. Clicking OK closes this window.
Clicking the help icon opens the help for Windchill Risk and Reliability in a new browser window.
The Logged in as status, which is available only in the Enterprise Edition, indicates the user name that you used when you logged in to this session.
Clicking Change Login, which is available only in the Enterprise Edition, allows you to change your login to a different user without having to restart Windchill Risk and Reliability.
Customize
In only the Enterprise Edition, a Customize link is shown in the upper right corner of the page if you have the permissions necessary to insert and customize Start pages. When you click this link, Content and Layout tabs are shown so you can set up controls and lay them out on the page.
To put some of these menu features to use:
1. Click the about icon . The About Windchill Risk and Reliability window opens.
A navigation pane appears on the left side of this window. You click a page name to display this property page in the right pane.
a. On the Copyright page, view the copyright notice for Windchill Risk and Reliability.
b. On the Authorized Options page, view all the licensed modules and prediction calculation models that you can activate. In an unlicensed version, the status for these modules and models is blank.
c. On the File Versions page, view the versions of the Windchill Risk and Reliability files in use.
d. On the My Data Directories page, view the locations where your local Project files, Predication Parts library files, and personal user options are stored.
e. Click OK to close this window.
2. Click the help icon . The help for the desktop application opens in a new window.
You can use the navigation pane on the left to browse or search help topics. When you are finished, close this window.
