Using Windchill FMEA
The top window contains the following tabbed panes:
System Tree Items — Displays the hierarchical breakdown of your system and is shared with several other modules.
Problems — Displays a list of problems and is shared with several other modules.
FMEA Table — Displays a list of all your FMEAs.
FMEA Tree Items — Displays the hierarchical breakdown of your FMEA structure. By default, the name of the FMEA Tree Items table is followed by a hyphen and Functional, Process, or Component to indicate the type of FMEA selected in the FMEA Table.
The bottom window contains the following tabbed panes:
Problems Form — Displays a sample form for entering data about the active problem in the Problems table.
FMEA Worksheet — Displays the failure item, mode, cause, and effect data that is entered for the active FMEA Tree Items record.
FMEA Control Plans — Displays the control plans inserted in this System file and FMEA Worksheet causes and FMEA Tree Items records with which they are associated.
FMEA DVPs — Displays the DVPs (design verification plans) inserted in this System file and the FMEA Tree Items records and FMEA Worksheet causes with which they are associated.
FMEA — Displays a sample form for entering item, mode, cause, and effect data for the active FMEA Tree Items record.
In Windchill FMEA, FMEAs can be extensively customized. You can select which data fields appear and give them custom names. You can also change the appearance of FMEA cells, adding in fonts, colors, notes, and checkmarks. As a result, your FMEAs might not look exactly like the ones in this guide.
