Entering Data Points
Once the analysis parameters are specified, you enter data points in the ALT Data Points table. You can either specify the data points manually, or you can copy and paste them from a word-processing file, spreadsheet, or other electronic file.
For this example, you use the built-in random data point generator to create a set of data points. In actual use, you would not create a data set in this manner. It is a feature available for testing and sample data generation.
1. Select the ALT Data Points pane.
2. Select LDA > Generate Random Data Points. The Generate Random Data Points window opens.
3. For β, enter 6.
4. For B, enter 17000.
5. For C, enter 3.0e-12.
6. In the table on the right, click < Click here to insert a stress level >.
7. For Quantity, enter 2.
8. For Temperature, enter 493.
9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 to insert the following stress records.
