Settings Page
The Settings page specifies information about the mail server to use to send email messages to users and other stakeholders. This page appears not only in the Email Settings window here in the Administrator application but also in the Email Settings window for a Project’s Workflow file and in the Alert File Properties window for a Project’s Alert file. The following table describes the properties on the Settings page.

Description
User name
The name for the user account that is to send email messages. For example, to have the email message come from the default Admin user, you enter Admin here. This user must have an email account. In subsequent properties, you enter both the email address and mail server for this user account.
Password
The password for the user account.
Email address
The email address for the user account. The format is username@domain.
Mail server
The mail server from which the email message is to be sent. For example, the mail server for companyX might be mail.companyX.com.

The default port is 25. If you must use a different part, use the following format to specify the mail server: server:port. For the previous example, if you wanted to use port 26, you would enter mail.companyX.com:26. If the port cannot be parsed, then the default port is used.
Provides for testing the specified settings to verify that they connect to the mail server.
