Toolkit API Capabilities
The APIs in the Windchill Workgroup Manager Toolkit include the following capabilities:
• Adding custom PDM related functionality to the user workflow using the following:
◦ Menu items in Windchill Workgroup Manager or within your integrated application
◦ HTML pages from the Windchill Workgroup Manager embedded browser
• Creating a batch process to automate tasks which invoke interaction with Windchill
• Customizing workspace PDM actions
• Analysis and limited editing of Workspace objects
• Lookup of objects in the Commonspace
• Server registry manipulation
• Application registry manipulation
• Interaction with customization components
• User interface operations such as adding menu items to the Windchill Workgroup Manager menu, input dialogs, and navigation to the Windchill Workgroup Manager embedded browser to and from a URL address
• Pre-save and post-save events
• Add to workspace a specific version of an EPM document by CAD Name, Revision, and Iteration
• Enable access to non-cached folder objects
