Resetting a Team Template
|
This action is only available in Windchill PDMLink.
|
The Reset Team window allows users with administrative privileges on the object, and modify permissions on the team template, to reset the team template for that object. The Reset Team action is accessed from an object’s actions menu and is only available for objects with an advanced life cycle.
In the Team Template drop-down menu, select the team template to which you want the object reset.
Team templates can be created at every level within the context hierarchy: site, organization, and application contexts. The name of a team template is unique per context, meaning a team template with the same name could exist at different levels in the context hierarchy.
The list of team templates that displays in the drop-down menu is generated based on the combined list of team templates contained in the context hierarchy. If team templates with the same name exist in different contexts, then the lowest level team template is displayed.
Consider the following example; the following set of team templates are created and enabled within the stated contexts:
Site
|
Organization
|
Product
|
Team1
|
Team3
|
Team5
|
Team2
|
Team4
|
Team6
|
Team3
|
Team5
|
Team7
|
The set of enabled team templates from each application context are combined and the templates with the same name are filtered out:
Team1 (Site)
Team2 (Site)
Team3 (Site)
Team3 (Organization) — Duplicate template name is filtered out
Team4 (Organization)
Team5 (Organization)
Team5 (Product) — Duplicate template name is filtered out
Team6 (Product)
Team7 (Product)
Below are the resulting list of templates:
Team1 (Site)
Team2 (Site)
Team3 (Organization)
Team4 (Organization)
Team5 (Product)
Team6 (Product)
Team7 (Product)
