To retrieve indexing rules for a domain, click the Indexing Rules tab in the Policy Administration window. When you click a domain name in the Domains pane, this tab automatically displays rules for that domain. To view the indexing rules of another domain, keep the Indexing Rules tab selected in the rules pane and select a different domain from the Domains pane.

By default, rules are automatically retrieved and displayed the first time you click one of the rules tabs. Click Search to refresh the display.

To change the default so that rules are only retrieved when Search is clicked, set the Retrieve Policy Rules preference to false. You can find this preference under the Security category in the Preference Management utility.
