Publishing Co-produce Objects
In manufacturing plants, co-produce material is the one that can be used to produce different components used to build a product. Co-produce data from Windchill is published as a BOM component.
You can publish co-produce objects while publishing a BOM using the following methods:
• Set State
• Change Notice
• Send to Distribution Target
• Promotion Request
Information about the primary part and secondary parts in a co-produce is available in the Windchill ESI response. You can publish this information to a distribution target using the ERP Connector. Distribution target associated with the primary part revision in co-produce is used for sending co-produce information through the ESI response to other downstream systems.
For SAP, the co-produce information available in the ESI response is consumed by TIBCO Middleware. The primary part is consumed as the BOM header and the secondary parts as BOM component. In SAP, the Co-product flag is set for all the parts in the co-produce objects.

It is not recommended to use the Co-produce feature in Windchill ESI 12.1.0.0 release and onwards. This feature is temporarily disabled as PTC is enhancing its usability. The improved Co-produce functionality will be available in a future release.
